Summit Forestry
マツノマダラカミキリに媒介されたマツノザイセンチュウによって枯死したアカマツの伐倒整理、アカマツやタカオカエデの植樹、アメリカオニアザミやセイタカアワダチソウなどの草刈りといった作業のお手伝いを小倉山の山頂部で行っています。
In the vicinity of Mt.Ogura’s summit, we are helping to fell and dispose of withered pine (infected by the pine wood nematode), to plant replacement pine and Japanese maple saplings, and to scythe down invading goldenrod and spear thistle.
穂垣補修や竹林の整備
Bamboo Grove Fencing / Maintenance
幽玄な趣のある散策路「嵯峨、竹の小径（こみち）」の穂垣の補修や散策路に隣接する竹林内で枯死した孟宗竹や真竹の伐竹と整理、竹林内の清掃といった作業のお手伝いを行っています。
In the bamboo forest at Mt. Ogura’s foot, we are helping to repair the bamboo brushwood fences along the tranquil footpath known as “Take no Komichi" (Bamboo Grove Walk), as well as to maintain healthy rejuvenation of the groves themselves of two different sorts of bamboo – mōsō-dake (Chinese) and ma-dake (Japanese).
不法投棄撤去作業
Rubbish Clearance
谷地へ投げ捨てられたテレビや冷蔵庫や洗濯機といった家電製品・家具やベッドなどの粗大ごみ・バイクや自転車や自動車のタイヤなどの不法投棄ゴミを引き上げる作業を六丁峠周辺で行っています。
In the vicinity of Mt. Ogura’s northern flank, especially at Rokucho Pass, we are working to remove large quantities of illegally dumped rubbish that has built up over decades. It contains large items such as motorbikes, bicycles, automobile tires, furniture, mattresses, televisions, refrigerators and washing machines.
山道の整備
Footpath Maintenance
山道を遮る風倒木や下草、今にも倒れそうな立ち枯れなど通行者にとって支障や危険を及ぼす恐れのある木々や下草を整理する作業と雨水で陥没した箇所を補修する作業を行っています。
All over Mt. Ogura, we are working to remove trees fallen onto or suspended over pathways, hindering or endangering walkers, cutting back invasive undergrowth, and rebuilding the path in places where it has slipped away in landslides or been eroded down too much.
